The form and the materials *are* the story. In this case, I wanted the "pages" to twist as the book was unfolded. I used a form developed by Guest and Pelligrino. Their 'triangulated helical cylinder' is intended for space exploration, where it is advantageous to send a small package that can be expanded after arrival. Mind you, I fastened the cylinder to the opposite ends intended, because like a geode, it is semi-translucent inside when opened.
