Pervious-Impervious is a watercolor, laser transfer and acrylic painting by Suze Woolf

Painting Details

Laserprint transfer, watercolor and acrylic on 150 lb Arches paper

20 x 55

I wanted to contrast the natural and farmland permeable terrain with the developed impermeable lands of the Kent Valley. So I used laserprint transfers and acrylic paint for the latter, and watercolor for the former. Pervious and impervious are synonyms for permeable and impermeable, but have a secondary connotation hard-shelled, can't be swayed by appeals.
