Denture Ridge, Macabre Tower and Grimface Mountain form the southern end of the Cathedral Lakes peaks, a high quartz monzonite plateau in the Canadian Okanogan. They have steep north walls that remain in deep shadow much of the day. I painted this on location from top of Lakeview Mountain.
